  10. I have installed web2c, dvips and xdvi on my machine using the exact same
  11. procedure and installation directories. However, although tex and dvips
  12. work perfectly, xdvi can't find some fonts it needs and exits. The output
  13. follows:

  15. % xdvi foo
  16. xdvi: Font cmcsc10 not found.
  17. xdvi: Font cmr17 not found.
  18. xdvi: Font cmbx10 not found.
  19. xdvi: Font cmr12 not found.
  20. xdvi: Font cmti10 not found.
  21. xdvi: Font cmsy10 not found.
  22. xdvi: Font cmmi10 not found.
  23. xdvi: Font cmr10 not found.
  24. xdvi: Font cmr8 not found.
  25. xdvi: Font cmsy7 not found.
  26. xdvi: Font cmmi7 not found.
  27. xdvi: Font cmr7 not found.
  28. xdvi: Font cmr6 not found.
  29. xdvi: Not all pixel files were found

  32. All the above fonts, however, do exist in the /usr1/local/lib/texmf/fonts/
  33. public/cm/src directory (/usr1/local is used instead of /usr/local).
  34. Is there a different default path for xdvi fonts? Your help would be greatly
  35. appreciated. Thanks,
